Tips on Not Messing Up Your First Dates with Hot Girls

You’ve managed to convince that hot bartender that you’re not “just like all the other guys,” and she finally accepted your invitation to go out on a date. Now the really hard part is not to show her you’re not “just like all the other guys.”

Everyone is different, and there really is no standard right or wrong when it comes to dating hot girls. However, there are still fundamental guidelines to help increase the likelihood of impressing hot girls that you hope you’ll someday have sex with.

Refrain from wearing a suit
If you’re not working at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce and wearing three-piece suits is an office requirement, you don’t get a pass. However, you have to keep in mind that dressing to impress can backfire sometimes. If you’re planning to take her to the opera and have dinner at a five star restaurant on your first date, then it’s fine, go in a suit. But don’t take her to a sports bar in a tux. If you can’t find time to ditch your work attire, you can at least take off your jacket and loosen you tie a bit.

Show up early
A simple rule to live by is to be at your appointed time five minutes early, and assume that she’ll be five minutes late. If your goal is to impress her, don’t make her sit alone in a bar waiting for you to show up. Being early can also give you the chance to position yourself where you feel most comfortable. I’m sure it’s going to be nerve-wracking for her as it’s going to be for you, so to see you greet her as she arrives instantly removes her off the anxiety of you even showing up.

Open doors and pull out her chair
Of course women can open their own doors and pull out their own chairs, but it’s still nice when guys let their dates know that chivalry is not yet totally dead. Disregarding these small gestures may not blow your chances out of the water, but when you do these they will notice. They will appreciate it and feel special. Plus, you score brownie points.

Keep your mobile phone face-down
It’s completely understandable that you guys don’t carry your hockey puck-sized smart phones in your pockets because 1) it’s uncomfortable, and 2) you don’t carry purses. If possible, keep the offensive piece of technology out of sight. But if you have to put it on the table, switch it to silent mode and place it face-down. Even if you are enchanted by her, a blinking light at the corner of your eye would be distracting, and this will lead to your eyes shooting back and forth between your phone and our faces. One other phone etiquette to remember: If you really have to take a call, apologize first and excuse yourself. Never hold your finger up to silence her; she’s no a dog.
